Default whats a good tire size?

Hi, so I have a 2008 ram bighorn. I just put a bilstein 5100 series leveling kit on it and I am now looking to put on some 17'' atx chrome slot series rims. I just don't know what size tire I should put on. I don't want anything really big and beefy. I just want something that looks clean and will fill up my wheel well, now that I have my leveling kit on. I was thinking of getting bfg a/t 285/70/17. does anybody think this would be a good size to get or should I get a little bigger?

Welcome aboard 1BigHorn2008! Stay tuned - a Technician (or member) will jump in shortly to provide a possible solution. In the meantime, don't forget to browse Sub-Forums: Ram for stuff related to your ride.

You could go for a 305/70/17. I run 285/70/17's with a 3" body lift, and they look fairly small. With your UCA you're gonna need rims with more offset to avoid rubbing

Yea the biggest thing to remember with our 06-08s is that we need wheels with enough offset to fit any tire wider than stock essentially.
