Very true, especially since tips are 80 bucks.

I may have a shop use the muffler and stainless tips and just use steel pipe.

I had a shop remove both resanators and stock muffler and I went with a single 3 " pipe with a Magnaflow Muffler and It sounds great and it ran me 300 bucks.
