anyone here have a 2nd and 3rd gen, need a favor

Anyone who has both trucks, can you see if the hood latch on the upper tie bar and hood are the same? Not the actual hood, just the part that locks into the latch. TIA

My dad has a 02.
From what I remember they are mostly the same, the 3rd is longer and has a bend in it though. Prolly placed different too.

Erm, no, he has a 2002 3rd gen 1500.
You posted in the 3rd gen section.
The heavy trucks didn't change till 2003.

yea, I know I have a 3rd gen and need to know if a 2nd gen latch will work, if its the same?

its been a while since I had my 2nd gen, but I did remove the latch once on it. from what I remember it may be a bit different.
