Default 4th gen to 3rd gen rear sport bumper swap

I know this question has more than likely been asked before but i've tried my absolute hardest to find it without any luck of a real answer. I have an 07 ram sport and i can't stand the ugly exhaust tip, i really love the looks of the newer style bumper with the dual exhaust cutouts, does anyone have any idea what it would take to mount a 4th gen sport bumper on a 3rd gen sport truck?

Won't happen. Different frame and frame mounts due to the new rear suspension in the 4th gens.

Custom work. Someone with enough metal skill might be able to tweak and relocate the mounting points. Probably be $$ though.

It wouldn't be that hard to do. The hard part would be to get it to fit correctly against the rear panels. If you look at the bumper on a 4th gen, it is pretty close to the body and wraps around much further than our 3rd gen bumpers do. The body lines on the new 4th gen are very tight. If you accidentally bump into something the bumper doesn't have a whole lot of cushion space on the 4th gen. Looks really good, but will do some damage to body panels if you so much as bump into something which kind of defeats the purpose of having steel bumpers on a truck. The 4th gen is built much like a car, but they are damn sexy IMO.
