4th gen hemi swap?
The best motor would be the same motor you have now just a different one lol. But any 3rd gen motor will swap in I believe. As for the 4th gen Hemi idk since it is almost a different engine but I'm sure it can be done.
Don't take this the wrong way, but if you are asking such a general question on engine swaps, then its likely you aren't ready to tackle the issues that would arise in doing any swap, unless its a like for like swap- same year, same engine... then things would just bolt in and plug in.
If you get into different years and displacements, you're getting into wiring, mechanical and computer issues that are not only difficult, but they are also, for the most part, undocumented- not in any service manual or parts manual.
I am by no means an expert on swaps, but I know enough to know when it may be better just to ask the bank for a loan on a newer truck..
Not always a bad thing, except for the payments!

im not swapping mine, I am just curious. I have swapped 1 chevy 350 into IH Scout 2, a 4bt into a scout 2. and a complete 383 stroker rebuild on a 88 suburban, but those were all b4 the age of computers coming out the wazoo. im just curious how hard the electronic part is. Im helping abuddy drop in a 5.4 navi motor into his mustang at the moment, and it brought to mind the 4th gen motor into a 3rd gen body.
