Level, shocks, and new tires (PICS)
no the torsion bars for 3rd gen are from 2002 to like 2006 I believe, Hammer would know exactly, but I think its around 06 they stopped
Second Gen 1500s were the last (of all US made trucks) to offer a SFA in a half-ton 4x4 truck. With the 3rd Gen 1500s (non MegaCabs) came torsion bar IFS front ends, using CV axles (half shafts), following GMs lead, from '02-'05. With the continuing trend towards making half-tons better for daily driving comfort for all the soccer moms out there, the move was made to coil-overs up front starting with the '06 1500s and for clearance went to even smaller diameter CV shafts.
In continuing this trend towards more car-like and less truck-like trucks, Dodge has gone to a coil-over rear with the 4th Gen trucks...

thanks I love the look so much better now with the level. They are still stock size.
I actually think it is a little better because my stock ones were really shot. They didn't have any resistance left in them and i could easily move them where as the new skyjacker ones it was more difficult to.
Guess I should pb blast away this week, I really don't want to break bolts even more so on the suspension arms up front, granted I was a machinist and did heat treating also for many years, seems like when I break bolts they seem to be harder ones of the bunch. Did you use a breaker bar? Like hammer said that could of been my problem and the leverage could make it feel easier as I was using a ratchet.

O yeah I did use a breaker bar. Leverage is everything. It still was pretty easy to turn the wd-40 definitely helped
Now I see I can get a set of ranchos installed by sears for free provided I buy their 50 buck rancho rs5000 so getting cold so I may just tip the guy there to give me five turns on each bolt and align her up given that my ram is even on both sides now shouldn't be too bad.
