Default Buying a used truck adn need opinions please :)

I currently drive a 97 dodge dakota thats falling apart and ive had enough of it and am in a hurry to find a new vehicle, i found a 2004 Dodge 1500 with a 5.7 L V8 and 181,000 km. The truck is in excellent shape im just unsure about the km. http://rainbowford.autotrader.ca/cer...4fe1e6a00a.htm
The price was dropped to 10,300
If any one has any advice
Thanks!

And its even 4wd, that's a nice truck and now its $10,300, I say crawl underneath and look at everything, if your satisfied, get it, you'll love it , especially compared to your Dakota. Either way, keep us updated, Good Luck man.

I miss my 87 dakota, she was a beauty and a beast, she's still alive at 300k miles. I sold her to a dodge mechanic and still all original except for the usual brakes tires etc but powertrain is all original including tranny. In hindsight I shoulda kept it.

Keep in mind that the OP's link is to a Canadian seller, thus pricing is not US dollars!

I think that's a bit overpriced. Oh nevermind that's Canadian, sorry. Definitely check the vitals on it, check for any noises etc.

Even with the dollar about par all of our prices are still much higher. $10,300 isn't bad for an 04 with that mileage. My 03 is for sale at $11,000 OBO but I've done a lot of work to it, and it'll be a good truck for a long time.

You leaving the horns on the front?

I checked a bunch of dealers around Edmonton/Red-Deer/Medicine Hat... I'd say if its a clean truck, it's a good starting price.. go in there with some brass knuckles and beat them down a bit on the price... You'll feel good for it.
