Need wheel help
I guess I'm just getting old. I still like just the plain, old, no frills, strong, bullet hole style wheels in the smallest diameter I can get to fit around the calipers (giving me the most possible sidewall for airing down off the pavement)...
Give me a set of old off-road stand-bye Crager Soft 8s or Mickey Classics and I'm a happy camper...

I was fixin' to finally replace the stock chrome wheels on my Jeep with some black Soft 8s until my work decided to declare bankruptcy and lay me off. Maybe Santee Clause will bring me a set...

Bought my truck in April of '04 and the Mickey Classic IIs went on before the end of May. They still look great and about all I do is hit 'em with Flix once a year. Now the chrome center caps are starting to really pit up and need to be replaced (at about $12 each) and my lug nuts are starting to get rusty as hell, but those aluminum wheels are tight...

I know you want a five spoke look but i think an all black set of fuel octane wheels which are eight spoke would look really nice with the sunburst orange. I got the chrome set now wishing I went with the black but I still absolutely love them. I got them from rimzoneonline.com as a tire package and was really happy with the price.
LOL. yeah, cause wanting a classic American muscle car style wheel is so ghetto. All those Challenger owners are in for a rude awakening.
Thanks. I'll check out those Octane's, but I'm really stuck on a certain look right now.
I did find out today that Cragar makes a version of their classic SS wheels that will fit our trucks. Not quite what I'm looking for, but it's still that classic muscle look I want.

Sweet! I sent an inquiry to Boss about the 338s to see if they had any plans of making it in our bolt pattern. I just heard back...come February, it'll be available in a 22" wheel! Looks like I'm waiting til then!
Now those Crager SS wheels on a '73 Nova SS with a 350 & 4 bbl carbs I had in the '80s, they've been around forever. Now those I like.
The Boss' just have a little too much BLING for me, but that's just me, I'm not 16 anymore, I think a 20" wheel on a truck is a waste, so bigger looks even more ghetto to me. I'm now more of the age of functionality over bling...
But that's just my opinion and yeah I'm just funnin' with ya' a bit Jim. It's your truck and your money, make it just the way YOU want it. Hell, if you want 26" wheels with basically rubber bands stretched around them, go for it...
