So I just got my new rims and tires.For rims i got a set of matte black ion 179s and for tires I got a set of 315/70/17 goodyear wrangler duratracs, has anyone had any experience with these? They seemed to get good reviews, and i like them so far but have only done city driving...?

 

From what I've read from some members on here the DuraTracs arent the best for our trucks because their sidewalls arent strong enough to support our trucks weight. But hopefully you'll be fine. That being said there are plenty of members on here running them. If you tow or haul alot though you may run into the issue of an exploding tire.

 

Thank you, the only real towing I do is trailering two snowmobiles, I don't really do any towing other than that so I hope ill be okay.

 

I love the tread, but as stated it has a history of sidewall failures on full size trucks and SUVs. It is however one of the tires of choice among Jeep Wrangler owners...
