Just got a 06 1500 Reg cab 4x4 4.7 with 76k this month from Carmax. The vehicle looks to be in great shape but there are no maintenance records. I know the oil was changed when I got it, but other than that I have no clue. What would you guys change or check? I am going to go to synthetic fluids on the next change. Anything else?

 

Engine oils/filter
Trans oil/filter
rear/front diff oils
spark plugs
air filter
flush rad and block
change wiper blades
change rad hoses
flush brake lines with new fluid
clean throttle body
check brake pads and rotors
check ball joints/tie rods/sway bar links

cant think of much else right now but that should ive you a good start

 

What do I need to be looking for on the ball joints/ tie rods/sway bar?

 

cracks or tears in the rubber boots
