Default Gas additive vrs premium?

Bought some Star Tron today and at $9.95 for 8 oc it would be cheaper to fill up on premium. Would the premium benefit over the additive ?

It depends, does your premium contain ethanol? I get about 2 mpg with StarTron over using premium fuel (E10). But even at $10 (which is high, I pay about $8) it treats 128 gallons of gas which is 12.8 cents a gallon. Here, 93 octane is 20 cents per gallon higher than 89 no matter where you go.

I run ONLY 93 octane btw and use StarTron in every tank. If I could get 100% 93 octane gas - without ethanol conveniently, I wouldn't be running the StarTron on every tank but probably do so every 3000 miles to clean the injectors...

Not alot of ethanol in the gas here. Unless they are not disclosing it. The star Tron I got was $9.95 for 8 ounces, which treats 48 gallons. Looks like I need another supplier.

I'd say so, that's the non-concentrated one I use in all my lawn equipment because it's easier to mix in small containers. I pay just over $5 a bottle for it in Lowes.

The concentrate is like $8 and a quarter in Walmart's marine department, one 8 oz. bottle to 128 gallons of gas. Hell, even my local "rip you off" marine retailer only charges $11.99 for the 128 gallon bottle...

You know you can always get it at Walmart online, they will deliver it for pickup at the local store with NO shipping charges. It's higher online, but only by about 50 cents a bottle...
