Default KC light mount

Ok so I'm trying o figure out a way to mount up some Kc- type lights on the front of my 2008 ram 1500 4x2. More than likley, they wont actually be KC brand, they'll be something from the auto-parts store. I wouldn't mind a grille gaurd if i could find one for a decent price, and I've almost ruled out bull bars. Kc makes a light bar to hold four lights(even though I'm only aiming for 2) but again, they're pricey. Does anyone know any secrets or tricks where i could get the lights mounted up simply and pretty cost effective? Thanks

A lot of the trucks here mount a set behind the grill on the cross member that runs in front of the radiator. I run a set on the grill guard that I got from JcWhitney's and it was priced real reasonable.

Option A) Get you a set of Hella 500s (or that flatter type) and mount behind the grill. No additional cost and about all you need to do is drill a couple of holes.

Option B) If commercial light bars/bull bars/grill guards are too pricey for you then make one. I made one for the front of my Grand Cherokee and had under $25 in materials (not including the lights) and probably took me an hour to make it...
