Default truck seems slow?

ok questions and also lets get some times so i can compare.

did my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times today and seems slow to me or am i expecting more out of my truck than what its worth?

timed with dynolicious iphone app all launches done with boosting the engine with brake held before launch.

2wd launch 0-60 7.79 sec (alot of spin)
4wd launch 0-60 8.24 sec (no spin a little shudder)

1/4 mile 15.89 4wd
1/4 mile 15.48 2wd

to me these times seems slow ive got a few mods done.
CAI/Comp 268 Cam/ CMR Johan diablo sport/ 93 Oct Full tank / E-fan / factory 20's with cooper zeon 275/60/20 / 180 tstat / full 3" exhaust dumped with Aero turbine muffler / L/T hedman headers /

Also does anyone know what our powertrain loss is? ive heard 28-30%

thanks guys

My truck turned a 15.9 @ 87 at a real track so you're a half second quicker than I am, or around 50 more horsepower. I'd say that's reasonable when considering how much truck you're shoving down the road.

Add a torque converter to your mods and it'll really wake up the response.

Default update

got my torque converter installed gonna try and make it to the track next weekend, i went a couple weeks ago and will say the track here sucks spun all the way through the 60ft and my 4wd sucks for top end. so as soon as i get some numbers ill update. last run was a 16.01 best didnt get the MPH like i said the track here sucks. also stacked my TC 2800 with a sonnax line booster, seat of pants feeling is a huge difference lets see what the numbers bring.

You've got a 6klb+ beast. Those numbers are normal. If you want a faster truck, get a 2wd Reg cab, but even those are still 5klbs. Every 100lbs lost gains you .1sec in 1/4mi in theory.

Also, when your at the track DO NOT heat up your street tires. It'll cause you to spin the length of the track.Street tires get slick when heated unlike DR's that get sticky.

DT loss is very high, highest in the industry. Upwards of 30%. Do you have your TM disabled or atleast reduced?

There was mistake number one I smoked the crap out of my street radials so I won't do that next time. I hott wait to get back to the states to do weight reduction like roll pan fiberglass hood and fenders and front bumper shipping is rediculous over here. What TM? Not sure on that? I got a scale lined up to on base as soon as it works they ate gonna let me weigh in give me an idea where I sit. How much would 17" steel wheels and slicks help?
