^^^ How does all that air in the 4" intake get past the 3" throttle body.

Default Shield or not

Having thoughts on making a custom heat shield after doing some reading,the filter seems to be tucked in there pretty good but maybe it will suck heat off my coolant surge tank ect, hmmmp...

Not to mention he necked down to a 3" opening at the other end to the same Spectre filter, LOL...


Let me clarify...
Well...it is 25% bigger and IMO sounds & looks 25% better,
but probably costs 25% more.LOL
As far as performance...who's to say?
Can't be any worse. IAMOO

Now that I'll agree with. Although I would suspect that just as with an exhaust, there would be a performance loss if going with too large a diameter pipe (tube), I don't think 4" would be bad. Probably no more or less total airflow than going with 3", at least not enough in either direction to make a difference.

Now if you used a larger cone filter with a 4" opening and put on a ported TB, then maybe...
