Need opinions on some mods
I have a '08 Ram! Well, I've done wheels and lowered it. I use the truck some don't want to go lower or a smaller tire. I'd like headlights, and maybe tail lights. I've considered a roll pan but I want to keep the tow hitch and bumped I think. The black headlights would be nice but there's so many styles out there from $300 to like $600 range. IMO I liked the silver 20's and most all things about this truck, these trucks are about perfect. I also have the Trinity. I just want some help lol. I'd like to spend like $600 at the moment. I got the wheels for a change but miss the silver 20's already lol.
I've got the same truck. I like the silver rims also, so I've decided to keep them until I find other chrome ones I like.
My first mod I want to do is lower the rear.
Next thing is I have to replace the stock radio.
Your truck looks great. Keep us updated on the mods you do.

I pulled the stock 6disc cd radio with one I had but the lack of steering controls and the fact it only holds 1 cd I went back. These have the Infinity sound system so you have to replace the harness ($90), the dash kit ($20ish), and the steering control harness to get that option with the aftermarket radio and it's $70 or so I believe but can't remember. I blew my front passenger door speaker and a dash tweeter or tweeters a while back. I heard you can't replace with aftermarket unless you bypass the stock amp. Someone please fill me in on that but last I heard it was like that.
My next mod may be headlights or a flip out LCD radio. My buddy's run Jensens that are 7in touchscreens and are new $300 so not bad. My truck has 52,000 miles so I need to clean a few things and do plugs I guess.

As for the amp, it is true. when I put my new deck in I just went ahead and ripped out the stock amp. It actually isn't even really an amp, but more of a computer system. I went ahead and bypassed all the wires through and threw in some nicer speakers. You can get at it fairly easily if you remove the glove box (careful with that, there are bumpers that snap easily). As for lights, check mine in the sig below. I got them off ebay for 120 and I love them. The wiring is easy enough, a trip to my local hardware store was enough to pop them in. There is even a good video. They are Spec-D something or others. I wanted black lights and these were the ones I liked the most. Also, If you haven't chipped yet, do it. You can get gas mileage and power, and it is one of the more efficient cost to hp upgrades you can do.
