Hey guys I have a 03 2500 with dual magnaflow 2.5 exhaust n gutted cat n after I pass over 3k or heavy foot it drones pretty bad!!!, any ideas to get the drone out?, is the stock y pipe doing the drone sound or what?, is a good idea to replace the stock y pipe with a magnaflow one?, if yes what size do I need?, my truck only have one cat.
My mods are sc 3865 , tstat 180, irridium pulse star spark n the exhaust setup.
Also lost low end torque, my tranny is nv4500.

I have a 21" Magnaflow on my 1500 Hemi. Its not the Y bcause I have a custom Y and still got drone around 2k rpm. What my exhaust guy did; put in a 10" straight muffler before the 21", both are straight through design so no perf. Loss. It is significantly quieter. (Didnt have a reg. Resignator in stock so we did it that way). I am considering having the 10" cut back out and replacing my tips with resignated tips to see how that sounds.
