I bought my 2003 Dodge Ram with 58,000 miles on it and now it has 94,000. I have been wanting to put synthetic oil in for a while now, but im unsure with my milleage being at 94,000. I have done 3 month or 3,000 conventional oil changes since I got the truck and have had no issues. I have been looking at going to mobil one extended preformence, or is there a better choice for my truck. The truck has got the hemi, and it has been a great truck so far. Just wanting some advice.
Thanks

You can go to Synthetic at any mileage. Synthetic is a better cleaner than conventional so if there's an y dirt or sludge preventing leaks, the Synthetic will wash all that away and start leaking. That is why people flasly say "synthetic causes leaks". it's not the Synthetic that causes the leaks, its just that conventional masks them.
I have friend who went to synthetic at 150kmi and never had any issue's.
Mobil 1 Extended Performance has more oil stabilizers that actualy cause more build-up and slightly effect performance. I'd go with regular Mobil 1.
Also, just because you put in an oil that say its good for 15kmi, doesn't mean you can go that long between oil changes. Your filter should be done every 5kmi regardless of the length of your oil change. 7500 miles is MAX. OIt wont matter how good the oil is if dirt is circulating around in there because its going through the oil bypass due to a clogged filter.
