04 all the way.
You'll have the truck much longer since it only has 43k

I say the 05 if you talk it down to a reasonable price for it's age and miles. The pre-06s are just better 4x4s suspension wise short of a SFA

Interesting. That's a long time for a bumper-to-bumper. I'm not sure what the offered upgrades are or how they changed over the years, but IIRC, my 7 year warranty was a bumper-to-bumper for 36 months, and then switched to drivetrain-only with a $100 deductible. DD, what was your '08 warranty? I imagine it would be closer to the '07's than my '05 details were. There's just something tweaking my radar about that one, though, to be honest...

The new '06 sounds pretty attractive. What's the deal on that? Don't forget to read the "common problems" thread. From what I remember reading on here, the '06 (and possibly other 3.5 gens) have inherent front suspension failure issues, much like the dreaded "c-clip" issue for the LSD rear ends. Do your diligence with research and don't just at one just because it looks pretty. You'll find something worth your time and money. Good luck on your hunt.

i just bought my 04 with 56k for around 13grand. its in great shape, no rust on the body only a little underneath it. 4x4 slt. so id go with the 04or 05 to be honest. either way you go, talk them down sa much as you can and your going to get a good truck, i am in love with my hemi.

Well guys thanks for all the input. I am going to look at the 2006 next Sunday that I found after I started this thread. It only has 32K miles on it for 17K. Talking with the owners it sounds like it is pretty close to new. Has had seat covers on it since new. 4X4, hemi, quad cab, chrome running boards, chrome bed rails(not sure about those) bed cover, line-x bed liner, and the color that I prefer. So we will see how it goes. Thanks again and I will let you know how it goes.

Just be sure you et what you want and don't settle. Making payments on something you settled for sucks! You'll have buyers remorse for the duration of the loan if you have a loan.

Lol 89k is not low miles. I hate to say it but these trucks are nothing special other than looks and performance. They don't last long without problems. I know some will here and there but they most likely will never last a's long a's a ford does. The 65k would be the best choice in my opinion cuz it's also a good price
