Need info concerning possible purchase.
Been looking for a manual transmission truck for over a year and they are few and far between. I would prefer a RWD QCw/LSD , but all I ever find are 4x4's.
I found a 2008 1500QC ST 4x4 with the 4.7 6 speed manual w/28k miles. Asking $22K.
It has been slightly modded with dual exhaust, fender flares, 2-1/2" lift, and 35" tires on MotoSkull wheels, all added within the last month. I ran the VIN to check the build sheet for gearing and a Tow Package. Truck has 3.55 and no Tow Package. I was hoping for 3.92's w/LSD at least. I am concerned as to how well it will pull and haul my boat, especially with the 35's.
What do you guys think? Here is a link.

I'd say no, coming from a guy with a 4.7 on 3.55 gear in a reg cab on 31" tires. You're gonna need to regear and get a programmer just to make up for those 35s, and then you can think about towing. As nice as the truck looks (and it looks pretty damn awesome), let it pass and find one with the Hemi/gearing/tow package.
Edit: just realized this is the 08 4.7, but I'd still be hesitant. Gearing for sure, but that cost is way up there on a 4x4.

No because I would recommend 4.56 gears with the 35s alone not to mention you will be pulling stuff with the truck also, keep looking you will find what your looking for but I will say something if I was you I would get the 4x4 and not RWD, from my experience every guy I know that bought a RWD regretted it later on
Thanks for the replies guys. I will keep looking I guess. Getting real tired of looking for something that doesnt seem to exist. As far as RWD goes. Ive had 2 4x's and both had tranny
issue from towing. Splitting up the HP and TQ between the differentials really hurts when pulling a load. Don't get me wrong, 4x's obviously have their place but only when you need it.
