this is why u dont buy nissans
my buddy just got in a wreck with a titan. going around 35-40 mph completely destroyed it. he is ok but those frames are toothpicks compared to what we have. im pretty sure i talked him into getting a ram

It's one of the reasons they can outrun a Hemi Ram. Even though the HP of their 5.7 is like 50 HP less than a Hemi, they weigh like 1300 lbs less.
Gotta cut out a lot of steel for that kinda weight difference...

Now what really gets me is places like Consumer Reports consistently give Titans and Tundras better crash grades than Dodge, Ford and GM. But I've seen a lot of pics of truck crashes and the Jappers always look like they had significantly more damage. Seen more'n a couple where a Titan hit a Ram and the Titan was crushed and I came away thinking the passengers must be dead, while the Ram looked like you could limp it home.
Go figure...

Yup, I had a Youtube Video of a Closed road course but it has been removed. The titans box was so wobbly going over the alternating speed bumps it was truly hilarious. Their frame are very small and thin guage steel.
Not sure about the Titans, but my wife was run over by a Kenworth on the highway in her '03 XTerra (along with two or three other vehicles in a very large highway pileup), and I'm grateful for the way that thing held up. The whole driver's side was smashed up, and she was relatively unscathed. From the reconstruction of the way the truck hit her, it should have been much worse. I can't really complain about Nissans...

haha do it ! not funny that he got into a crash but funny since i drove him home from the repair shop he was looking at craigslist for hemi's
Had a neighbor lady with an Xterra who got hit by a Chrysler mini-van a few years ago. Luckily it was a relatively low speed (about 35 mph) accident. The four year old Xterra was totaled out because the frame was broken, she had upper back, neck and shoulder injuries, nothing serious, but did require a couple months of therapy.
She replaced it with a new '06 Hemi - her husband insisted on it for safety. He was a member here right up until they got divorced, she moved back to the midwest with the truck and I ain't seem him on here since...
