Exhaust for Torque hammer please help!!! lol
Just took the Muffler off my 2008 dodge ram QCSC 5.7 Hemi. Left the stock cats but just took off the muffler and some say you lose back pressure and torque.
Well i think i have lost torque at the bottom end but sounds amazing. Was wondering what is a good exhaust for more bottom end torque. I love the cherry bombs and I have seen there flow rates but i want an exhaust that will give me torque and cherry bombs seem like straight pipes

Shorties are only good for high end torque which you saw because it was most likely on a dyno and getting the sh*t revved out of it. For normal everyday drivers who never really see past 3000 RPM then longtubes are better for making low end torque. As for the OP I hear the Extreme is good. I'm thinking about getting one myself when I finally do my exhaust

I don't have a clue where you get all your information, but you post more misinformation than anyone else on this site. Shorty headers as I and others told you before make torque better than logs or long tubes. On the dyno my truck made 400 ft lbs @ 3900 rpm, far from having the sh*t run out of it. I've been working on cars for 45 years, and know a lot of what I'm saying from experience, not from what I've read or what someone else told me. The torque numbers on my truck, are undisputible, and from the numbers of trucks with long tubes, equipped similar to mine, I have yet to see one with better torque. Many make more horsepower, as I would expect with long tubes, but nowhere near the torque. The dyno operater even was surprised by the tq numbers my truck produced, as he had never seen a near stock hemi make those tq numbers. I have a proven combination, and hate to hear someone passing out false information, when I have the dyno sheet to back up my numbers, plus my truck won the truck division 1/8 mile drags at Nashville Superspeedway in 2009

Everything I post on here comes from either my personal experience or from what I've read or heard from other reputable people. I honestly couldn't give 2 sh*ts about your "45 years" of experience. If you made those numbers, great, no ones bashing you for that. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you because I love this site and I would hate to get banned for fighting over the internet with some guy I'll never meet in real life.
