So when you add it to the oil, do you leave it in a while, or just a few hours then change the oil?

when u put it in the oil i myself only used a third of the bottle, the other thirds went into the gas tank and the brake boost vac line. your not supposed to drive over 300 miles once you put the seafoam in your oil so make sure if you do put it in that you are going to need an oil change soon as well, wouldnt make sense to have just changed your oil then put seafoam in if you have to change it in less than 300 miles. you can buy it at walmart for like 7-8 bucks i think, i just bought one bottle for my whole truck. some guys use one bottle per gas tank, one for the oil and brake boost line 50/50.

no prob, mine didnt really "smoke" too much when i put it in so that made me kinda happy to know the engine was acutally taken care of for the most part and it wasnt really dirty and nasty. youtube has some good vids on how to do it as well, thats what i went off of, its really easy though.

Mine smoked a fair bit the first time. Not nearly as much the second time. That's what prompted me to lengthen the interval to 'bout every third oil change (three years or so )

I use mob 1 synthetic too. I also don't change my oil but every 10 mos to a year, BUT, I only put 3 - 5k miles a year on my truck. I have a company vehicle I drive. My 03 only has 50k miles on it right now.

I love how the OP hasn't posted in this thread since it was originally started(and even that was only a half of a thought), but the post continues on without him lol. just goes to show how much we love to talk about our trucks

Indeed, I came back to actually ask if any maintenance had really been performed! I see someone has beaten me to the thought.

Five-Seven: Where in Syracuse are you from, exactly? My wife is/was from Manlius, so I've spent quite a bit of time up there over the years. Beautiful area in CNY.

Since we are on the maintenance subject, I've got 16 Champion copper plugs, Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads, and a Flex-A-Lite e-fan sitting downstairs that need to be installed. Just waiting for a day when it is NOT raining!
