well guys n gals i gotsta get my post count up before i can post anything in the wtb/wts adds so figured minaswell start a thread for myself to learn my new to me 2003 ram 1500 5.9 slt,completely stock .

now with your help i would like to know some stuff to watch out for and also would like to no the best mods i can do to it ..brands ect ect..

and also with the stock suspension ,,whats good performance suspensions for this truck? im not talking a lift kit they do shiot offroad ..i want like a carli system or somethin??,,,but for now whats the biggest tire i can throw under there with no issues ? thanks guys n gals

 

Well a Carli system is for 4x4s I believe and you haven't specified alot of info about your truck besides year and engine. What gears do you have? That's always a good mod. You can start with the basics which are tuner, exhaust, CAI, E-fan, Headers, Y-pipe, Cams, Brakes, the list goes on and on. But as for lift kits there are plenty that actually do really well off road. You just have to get the right brand. And as for what to look out for I don't really know much about the 5.9 except that as long as you keep up with regular maintenance it'll probably survive a nuclear attack and still run fine lol

 

^^^lol what he said about the 5.9 still running after nuclear attack lol but they are know to run forever so just take car of it, I also have the 5.9

I also agree with what he said about mods, and as for tires probly 33s be the bigger before you need to add either body or suspension lift to fit 35s
