Looking for for help. I was having problems with my rt side low beam out, turned out to be the tipm. I replaced it myself with a brand new one and lights work fine now as with everything else except for one thing, my airbag light is on and won't go off. I tried disconnecting the neg. cable for 10 minutes but that didnt work. Any ideas or am I stuck having to go to the dealer.

 

Reset the PCM, that might fix it.

 

It would help if we knew exactly what you are driving, but failed clocksprings in the steering wheel are common causes for this. I had the same issue and the light went out when I replaced the clockspring.

 

Thanks for the responses. I have a 2006 1500 5.7. The air bag light wasn't a problem until the tipm switch. After starting the truck with the new tipm it came on and won't go off now.
