What's it worth?
So my company just bought us all new GMC Sierras as company trucks for work and personal use. I'm thinking of selling my Ram and dumping the payment. I have a loaded '07 Hemi Sport with Infinity, Heated Leather, factory 20's, factory power towing mirrors, soft tonneau cover, and chrome mopar steps. The truck has just under 63,000 miles on it. What do you guys think I should ask for it?
I work for a ready mix concrete producer. They were paying me .555 cents/mile for me to use my truck, and 6 manths later now they decide to buy QC and sales company trucks. KBB said $19,500 for it. I hope they're right. It goes on Craigslist tomorrow.
KBB is a bit "optimistic" I've found. I dunno if you can get $19,500 for your '07 when I have a cousin who paid $24,300 for his loaded '08 QC Hemi 4x4 new off the lot four years ago.
I'm finding '07 Hemi 4x4s at local dealers are running between $15,500 and $17,000. People expect to pay less private than at a dealer.
But that said, $19,500 isn't a bad starting point, you can always come down in negotiations if you need to...

Dealers love to provide KBB for their cars prices and because it's kind of inflated and Galves for trade-in because galves is a total lowball when in fact, they actually se NADA and current auction sales for true references.
I doubt you can get $19k from a private sale. I'd say more in the $16k range. Remember, its going on 6yrs old now and auction prices for trucks are about $2-3k below book value due to gas prices(even though they have come down slightly)

NADA is saying $22,500 clean retail. I'm thinking starting at $20,000 and negotiating from there. I'm not in a big hurry and can always lower the price if I don't get any takers.
