Call me curious or OCD about knowing things that I don't, but why, within 3rd gen rams, are there seemingly 2 different body styles? I have an 07 and my neighbor has an 03, and the headlights and tails are the most obvious difference. I've also seen other 07s with the "flat" tails instead of the "2 bump" tails like mine. And I'm sure it was stock.

Anyway, I'm new to the Ram Family so sorry if this seems pointless. I guess in a way it is. But it will bother me until I know.

06-08 rams are slightly different trucks than the 02-05. Those taillights are stock

 

It's '06s actually that have new-style headlights with smooth taillights. Dodge changed the tails in '07.
