Default Fully synthetic oil?

I was at o'rilleys and the guy at the desk told me that if you switch from fully synthetic oil, back to regular oil that it will damage the engine. Is this true?

I don't see how as long as you stuck to your regularly scheduled oil changes, but why would you switch back and forth?

I'm not switching. I've always used fully synthetic. But this was my first time going to this auto parts store. He just mentioned that it would damage the engine if I switched. But I didn't see why it would if you changed the oil when it was needed.. lol

You won't damage the motor, and as for O'Rileys, they hire anyone even with no skill in automotives or at least they do where I live, almost everyone I go in there I end up having to help them figure **** out with whatever Im getting and sometimes even others that may be in store

You can switch back and forth all you want to, can even mix as long as the viscosity is the same. They do NO training at these auto parts stores so you get what you get...

O'Reilly's, Advance, Auto Zone, etc., etc. They're mostly all the same. They can't find a part without the make, model, yadda, yadda, to enter into the computer.
