Any suggestions on a reasonably priced e-fan? This is a ranch truck so economic mods are the order of the day.

The cheapest but more labor intensive route is a ford Taurus or lincoln mark 8 fan if you can find one. It's the fan from the 3.8L engine I believe. You would need to purchase a controller and maybe more wiring depending on how much you pull. Or you can buy the Flex a lite 183 kit that comes with everything but costs more.

This is my last post for this thread. The Volo Performance FS3 did not improve the mileage on my 05 2500 2wd Hemi with automatic. I lost 0.5 mpg for the average of six tanks of gas (14.4 vs. 14.9 stock) and low speed throttle response and overall drive-ability were slightly reduced. It felt sluggish. I have removed the FS3 and put it on the shelf.

My mileage is back up to 14.82 after three tanks and the drive-ability is much nicer.

I am determined to squeeze all the mpg I can out of this truck without resorting to major modifications or driving like a "hyper miler."

I have since purchased a used Diablo Sport Predator, model U7137, on eBay, and yes it is "unlocked" from the prior owner's vehicle and in very nice shape. No need to spend big bucks on a new one. I will shortly start a new thread to document my real world results.

Thanks for listening.........
