Purchasing a 03 1500 2wd hemi tomorrow. The dash has a couple of cracks in it. The dealer said this was common on the dodges. Was just wondering if this is true. If so has anyone tried the plastic dash caps like they sell on ebay. Thanks, Mike

 

Very common on all 2nd Gen Rams and 3rd Gens thru the early '03s. After that Dodge changed manufacturers and it's not been much of an issue...

 

Yeah my 04 sat for a longgggg time when my brother had no license (before he passed away and I took it over) no problems with cracking, not even really sunbleached honestly. Only cracking is due to him punching the pass side airbag cover which I just took out and kinda fixed yesterday.
