90-95 I think are the prime years. Same Ford fan was on Lincoln mark viii's and I think, not sure... In mercury sables.

yeah early nineties is what you want. Just make sure its the 3.8 engine, that's the one with the fan that you want.

If you want an always on fan, you'll need at the minimum decent gauge wiring (like 10g), a relay, a switch and a fuseholder/fuse.

If you want to get fancy in addition to the above, you will need a fan controller, some sort of temperature probe, a circuit breaker setup would be nice as well

What all SHOULD I get then? Why would I want it running all the time? I have heard the 180* tstat is good can I pull that off the taurus?

Ok just got a fan from a 92 sable (same motor) and also bought a 180* tstat so now.... Shoulda thought of this before, but HOW THE HECK DO I INSTALL THIS THING! I'm assuming that I'll use the factory bolts to bolt the fan on and there's an outlet thingy that a plug from the battery? Would go into? Also where does the thermostat go. Some reason in my mind the thermostat was supposed to look like one of those that you stick in a steak lol. I got some water, a can of peanutbutter with a spoon, and I'm ready to do this! Just need instructions lol
