thinking about getting Long tube headers and a programmer
I have a 06 5.7 hemi. I want to do full length headers and a programmer. But i do not want to jeopardize drivability or reliability. I am looking a Hedman or possibly pace setters and I am also looking at a bullydog 40410. any suggestions would be greatly appericated.
i was also wondering how LTs and true duels would effect the mds system.

Well the programmer (I don't really suggest Bullydog for a gas Dodge Ram) can disable the MDS so you won't have to worry about that. I recommend the SuperChips tuner as it can provide you with transmission tuning if you want to go that much into it. The Diablo is also a good choice. Not many people use the Bullydog around here though so I don't think you'll get much input on it.
Yea BullyDog is great for diesels but not so much for us gassers. As for headers if you're dead set on LTs then Pacesetter is big brand I see around here. You could look into shorties too. That way there's no issues with the cats and you'll make more low end torque. The good brands for shorties are BBK and TTI

Superchips or Diablosport, I don't know anything about Bully gas tuners. I've heard pacesetters are the way to go for lt headers. I have BBK shortys on mine so I cant really say as to first hand knowledge of long tubes. Good post 08 Hemi
I have Pacesetter LTs and love them. I also have a full custom exh but one thing you need to know is if you guys there have to go through emission testings or visual inspections because the LTs mean the cats and O2s will be displaced and must be relocated. Some exh shops do NOT like doing that even though the the cats are not being removed but just moved back some.
You dont need a tuner but what truck is fun without one?
