My guess is you don't have the factory tow package. One of the dead giveaways is the lack of 7-pin wiring connector. Doesn't mean you can't tow anything though.

i have the aux transmission cooler and the trailer tow w/ 4 pin connector and the heavy duty shocks but it doesnt say i have the tow package. just was wondering because i was going to pull my dads boat outta the water this fall and tow it about 10 miles down the road.

How big is his boat and what type of trailer does it sit on? Unless it is a hoss of a boat, you should be able to tow it fine. That is assuming you have a frame mounted receiver hitch, even if it was installed post-factory.

I have these on mine, but still have the 3.55 gears. I wish not sure why. Oh well I don't really tow so I don't mind.

I have all that stuff listed too, but I also have the 3.55 gears. I just got my build sheet this morning by emailing dodge, I was hoping for the 3.92s but oh well...

08 Looking from the front of the truck its a plug just right 0f the air conditioner fan, . I plug an extension cord into it when it gets really cold in the winter, and when I come out to leave for work at 4:30 in the morning, it starts like its a spring morning, and I have heat very shortly after startup. I always thought the truck was intended to go to one of the northern states, but somehow found its way to Tennessee, and I just happened to get it. I do know this, my factory battery lasted 6.5 years and Im sure those easy winter starts was the reason it lasted so long

So I would imagine at least a tandem axle trailer and, hopefully, electronic tongue activated trailer brakes? Get at least the approx weight of the boat before you just hook it up and roll with it. Chances are you'll be okay no further than you are towing it.

If it has trailer brakes then it probably has a Flat 5 trailer pin instead of the Flat 4. That 5th pin is for the brakes, so if you don't have that harness you need to get an adaptor otherwise you will not be able to back the trailer up at all.
