then buy a hemi truck or a cummins truck or a ls1 car that was made that way, the whole point of a swap is to put a different engine in, not the same one everyone else does. im just saying go for something different. i see guys doin different swaps all the time. its the part of modding thats been lost with technology. best truck to me IMO is a ford with a cummins backed by an allison.

you run out at kennedale? about 4 miles from my hosue. used to run out there when i had my 79 thunderbird in high school, my buddy would always take his ram 3500 and itd run about what my hemi runs now. tracks only an 1/8th mile tho and so i go to ennis if i ever get the chance. the dirt track races are fun as hell to watch too.

Hey I'm from ktown! Or where you talking to me? ha I'll answer youre question as if you were my truck would take half a minute down the track, but my 78 firebird 403 can run 13 sec 1/4 according to statistics of other same models as it sits now but I got a 455 swap pre-ordered (in my adhd mind) but as I am a freshman in college, that will be a while. I need to go drag out at the strips sometime.

ya i was, and im not from kennedale, but im right down the road in mansfield, left there back in 09 after i graduated and then joined the military. ya me and my buddy went there about a year and a half ago after he got back from deployment and threw $6k into his chevy 5.3 and only beat me there by .1 of a second. thats always been pretty funny to me but he does have a higher top end than i do. being in a truck though, doesnt bother me. there at kennedale i think my best time was a 9.1 or so and he was running a 9.0 with 4wd auto on so he never spins. he got a picture on texas motor speedways site when we went out there one night, ended up taking 2nd but lost to a lightning. the picture shows him at a half a truck off the line tho with not spinning at all. my next drag ill be participating in is in houston (baytown). its a 1/4 mile and want to see what she runs down on sea level and with all the last couple modifications that ive done did lately.

ha the hardisty trails is where i always used to go, idk if they still have it open tho. used to be a lady taking pics on the way out because the entrance was a dead end road and the other side went right into the middle of a neighborhood and shed always get pissed about all the mud down her street. ill look and see if i cant find it on google maps for ya. i probably wont be taking that truck up there anytime soon but i know a lot of guys in mansfield mud so anytime your around there, just ask someone with a big truck
