I used the only 4" k&n cone filter that the autozone near me kept stocked. Any 4" should work, it just depends how much money you wanna spend. Ive got a bracket right at the end of the filter providing support to the bottom and side of the end of the filter, nothing keeps it clamped down except for the weight of itself. The way it fits in the hemi anyway, its a pretty tight fit and everything so far is staying nicely.

I like this! I will probably add it to mine. I'd like to do this with an exhaust but I'm worried about the tone with my MDS.

Wouldn't this 4 inch allow for more air flow?

Well the bend that Ewing has going for him is prolly the best non restrictive flow ive seen. There is a thread on 4 inch being better, but IMO unless you have something pushing the air through like a turbo anything more than 3 is pointless, it can only take in so much air but having a 4 inch wont hurt it but dont look for more HP ot Torque because its bigger.

Yea the TB is only 3" so you can't fit anymore air in it than a 3" pipe can provide

I mostly agree with willdikem66 and 08hemi1500, generally speaking 4" isn't going to get you anymore than 3". Possibly if you have a full blown race setup with some killer ram air, you might be able to cram some more air if you have a 4" over a 3", but other than that, i don't think you will see any benefit for 4" over 3". Especially I would think that a smooth bend would restrict air less than a couple of 90's, from a fluid dynamics standpoint, 90's kill your airflow.
