I see lower aftermarket grills such as the one at http://tinyurl.com/8gka9cu on ebayadvertised but don't think that they will work on my truck. My 2007 1500 quad cab does not have the chrome bumper as shown in most all of the ads. I Googled images of a 2007 Dodge Ram and most of the images do have the chrome bumper but not all. Is the difference the fact that some are a Laramie and some are not (mine is a Laramie).

To show you what I mean I have attached both a typical image from Google and an image of my truck. The difference in the color of the bumper is obvious but there is also a difference in the shape. The chrome bumpers have an angle whereas the colored bumpers like mine have straight vertical sides for the lower opening (see the lines that I drew on the images). I really don't think that the lower grills that I see advertised will work on my lower grill thus I need the advice of the group.Actually, I need to know why the difference in the bumpers and also if the aftermarket lower grills will work on my truck.

Neither, first I simply want to know why some 2007 1500 Rams have chrome front bumpers and some have colored like mine which I like best.

Secondly, I would like to fill in the black rubber lower grill with a small horizontal chrome grill but I am not sure that the one on ebay that I referenced will work because of the shape thus I would like some input from others.

I definitely do not want to black everything out!

I run his (username was grille4u but its the same Co.) lower insert on my 04 and its still holding up after 7 years.
