I got it to hold steady at 11 between city and high way driving!
and when I reset it on the highway I can get 17 at 55mph, lol.
But when I have money or a girl to impress, It's usually at the 8mpg, haha

But today I got the 1/4 inch welded on. Not painted. Raining today :/

Nice call!
Yea, I just sprayed it the day I put the flares on. The typical rust was just annoying me

Many people don't like the "plain" MT Classic II wheels... I love them. You've still got a great looking truck, though!
I know the feel.
Personally, I don't love the flares. The only reason i actually put them on is for an excuse to do my wheel adapters, and because I am starting to get my rear rust. I'm gonna keep these on until the rust comes up and over them. TRhen buy a new bed, haha

For the rust problems, i spent an afternoon with wire brushes, rust primers. Ant some rubberized asphalt spray ( goes on like a thin tar, hardens up to a rubbery feel, semi tacky) Seems to work AWESOME, waterproof , flexible, wont chip or flake. So I think ive made a good noisture barrier for the underside.

I also did rust paint to the rear frame, and other metal parts. Made my truck look 2 years younger.

Did my research for you guys. Here's the link to the bar:
http://www.defianttruckproducts.com

I'm actually going to buy the Pre-Runner style, and make a double bar.
It will be re-inforced with 1/2 inch steel and 1/4 inch piping to the frame.
My plan is to run over trees.

Are you going to sell your existing bar or are you going to keep it? I might be able to buy it from you, I'm only a couple of towns away
