Default Backup light - how to replace bulb?

2007 1500 Quad Cab Hemi - today someone noticed that I have a backup light out. I went to take a look at it and the whole big lens is loose on the outside side (if I bump it the light will work). Does this lens just pop off or what to get to the light bulb? I have a bed liner so I can't go in that way, if least not easily.

The tail light assembly is held in place by a couple of torx screws and some clip-in pins. Lower the tail gate and you'll see the screws. Back them out completely. Get a firm grip on the assembly and yank it out, straight backwards. Be aware the cables are not very long, so be restrained at the same time you're yanking. The bulb holders twist out. Reverse procedure for reassembly.

Don,

You may also want to inspect the wires going to the light to ensure they are not rubbed raw if the lens was lose.

Bumping the light to get it to come on could also mean that the light is going out.

If you break those little black retaining clips, PM me and I can sell you some more because they are VERY hard to find online. I have aftermarket ones that are beefier than OEM one's. I broke mine when I pulled my taillights off after just the 2nd time. Each side has 2 for total of 4. If you break even one little inner piece the taillight will wobble slightly.
Inspect them before re-installing.

*I'd replace both bulbs while you have it out.
