Thumbs up Exhaust sound comparisons

There are many discussions about different exhaust configurations (performance muffler, glass packs, straight, etc.) but no real-world comparisons about their sound that I have found so far. One thing I don't like when looking for muffler samples is when someone puts their camera right near the exhaust exit and then revs the engine. That tells me nothing and I have nothing to compare it to, because the sound is often distorted and not a real driving example.

What we really need for a good comparison is a series of drive-by videos. I am being an idealist here, but I would love to hear the following:
- A drive-by video where a truck is being driven "normally" (e.g. responsibly )
- A "normal" take-off from a stop
- A take-off from a stop with your foot in it.

Ideally, I would like to hear people with different types of systems to do all of these tests and post the results; someone with no muffler, a performance muffler, glass packs, etc.

I don't have a performance muffler, but I can do a set of "stock" runs if you like. I saw Thrush glass packs in AutoZone for $22; they were about 2 feet long - almost picked one up, but I don't want it to be too loud. I also don't want to spend the time, effort, and money doing something that I won't like.

What do you guys think?

This is true. What I had in mind was a collection of links of similar tests showing different systems all close together for a convenient method of comparison.
