03 4.7 to 03 5.7 HEMI Interior Conversions
My father-in-law blew the engine on his '03 Hemi. Rather than repair he is giving it to the bank. He is letting me do a 1:1 swap on anything he has.
So I had my eye on a few things. Most are simple like his aftermarket hood, his OEM 20" wheels (I have the 17"), towing package, and back seat (his have the headrests).
1.) I would also like to swap steering wheels. I have this one (but not as nice looking)

and he has this one

I like the look of that one more. I assume it is the one that came in the Hemi models, as well as the back seats having head rests. Anyways, they look to have the same exact buttons, just different placement obviously. Anyone know of any potential wiring issues with this?
2.) Also I would like to potentially swap dashboards. As you all know these dashboards are prone to crack in heat. Mine has several. His somehow has remained perfect (I think) even with his poor treatment of the truck. I am told by some that this would take all day to do. I really only have a day to do this. Any insight/tips/tricks for removal?
3.) I hate chrome, but my bumpers have been damaged (air dam sawed off the sport bumper, rear bumper dented) and his are in pretty good condition (i actually have a replacement air dam for the chrome ones). I may want to swap. In my research to find replacement sport bumpers I may have read that you cannot swap them with the chrome ones?
4.) I think his "chrome" on one or two of his wheels are peeling. Anyone know what it looks like underneath that, I think they are a dull silver? I am the type of person that prefers black wheels. My current ones are the OEM 17s that the previous owner painted black. I have read about plasti dipping them.
I appreciate any insight on these questions I have. Also if you have any other things I should think about swapping, let me know. Thanks all!

I'm pretty sure you can get your cracked dash replaced for free from Dodge. There was a thread either on here or DT about it so you don't have to worry about that. As for the steering wheel I'm sure the wiring will be a pain if you aren't comfortable with that kind of stuff (I know I'm not). Not sure about the bumpers but you could always paint them if you want. If the chrome is peeling on the wheels I would just let those go and not even bother with them personally.
