Cai
Is there some benefit to adding a custom CAI to your truck other than it just plain sounds kool? Also will it have a positive/negative effect on MPG?
Thought about doing it to my stock hemi but , probably won't if there's really no benefit and it lowers Mpg.

I put a K&N CAI on my 2011 Hemi and it didn't really affect the mpg until I put the Dynaflo exhaust on. Then the highway went to a solid 20 IF I keep my foot out of it. But the performance change was impressive. Also buy GOOD gas of at least 89 octane. No "Bob's Gas" stuff. Instead of more miles/ gallon I get more smiles/ gallon. I recommend it.
It's a mod that's meant to be part of a series of mods that all benefit each other. To get the most out of a CAI you should do your exhaust and get a tuner as well. Then if you want to get more out of it you get headers as well. They all benefit each other. While each will give gains on there own you get the most with all or a combination of some.
I agree with 08hemi, unless you do the whole series, you won't see more than marginal gains. However it does sound awesome, and can be done fairly cheaply and easily, so i don't see any real downsides.
