Default A Little Taste of the White Stuff

Old man winter paid a somewhat rare visit to these parts on Friday. We usually get this maybe once a year. Couldn't resist snapping a couple of pix. I was making a left turn that day, right behind a jacked up F150. He spun a 180 right in front of me as I drove right past him. It was almost like I pulled a NASCAR move and bumped him out of the way. I wish my camera had been rolling then.

So that's where our snow went....give it back, I can't do donuts in a wet parking lot in January in Canada.

I would give it back if i could. Temps were in the 20's when the snow fell. Today it was 73, so i guess you know what happened to the snow.

We've been having the same thing here. We had 6 inches of snow last friday and yesterday and today were mid 60's, crazy weather. I do love playing in the snow with my ram though, good times.

It's been oddly warm here. It's like 15C today or something stupid when it should be -15C.

I'm not really complaining cause I sort of hate winter and snow, but in the past years theres been tons of snow and I was driving a car.

Now I have a 4x4 that just makes snow look stupid and I can't even use it

Well compared to much of Canada we're not supposed to get much snow here either but this year it has been snowing since mid-October. This is by far one of the worst winters over the last 15 years I've lived in the prairies. Thankfully they don't plow residential streets so we don't have huge snowbanks to deal with but you do need at least 8" of clearance to drive around near my house. I'm sure looking forward to spring.

My gauge reads -34 Celsius (-29.2 Fahrenheit), with the windchill, it's -45(-49F). So we're a bit cold. The truck has a helluva time starting in this weather.

Nate, no, but thanks, nobody has said that and I appreciate compliments but I've learned that as long is it suits me, don't worry about the haters. Or in my case, as long as it suits my son. They say immitation is flattery, though, and I already have a copycat in this small town. A guy with a burnt orange 03 stopped and talked to me about my truck at a convenience store last fall. After Christmas, he now either has or is working on the same mods. He already has the same wheels/tires now.

As for the stance, I don't know if it's just the natural way I hold my iPhone when taking pictures or what, but to me it seems to make the truck look a little higher in the front - it's not. The shop that put my level kit and shocks on were using measuring tapes and levels to get it as close to perfectly level as they could.

The main thing that now seems to stick out like a sore thumb, though, are the stainless nerf bars with all the black. I just got a box in yesterday and am going to fix that today. :-) If anybody wants a set of perfectly good stainless steel nerf steps with brand new mounting brackets and bolts, pm me.

Glad I clicked on it though, cool picture for sure I haven't done a proper photoshoot with my truck yet.. I plan to as soon as I get some new tires though
