The previous owner dented the bumper and destroyed the factory connector back there. I've picked up a Hopkins #47185 wiring kit designed to convert a 4 flat into a mounted multi-tow connector, which is what I want. I'll be stripping off the 4 flat connector and splicing directly into the trucks lighting harness.

Do I need a heavy duty flasher or will I be fine with just tapping the factory light harness? It looks like when the bumper got hit they stripped *all* of the wiring back for the connector, so this will be a new install essentially.
