I finally had time to look at my truck more after work and found out that my bed bolts are broken in the front. They have State-Farm. I'm hoping now that the back of the frame isn't bent BC my receiver is bent down

And I have been wondering how u would miss a big yellow truck stopped.

A focus once tried to park under my truck while I was stopped like you and the end of the frame rails had to be straighten. When the hitch takes a dive down like that, it pulls everything with it. Without any damage to the tailgate or any other body work, it cost like 1500$ to fix mine by the time you had up all the stuff underneath.

As to how you can't see someone stopped, I presume a phone had something to do with it.

Glad you are alright. Since the kid admitted that he was texting, I hope the kid's dad is going out of the way to help make things right for you.

Didn't someone else just get taken out by a kid in his parents' Tacoma recently?

Just dropped the truck at my body shop. So they can get the estimate done (since they have to year the rear down) and Get to fixing it. I'll let task kno what happens.
