You are right about them not going together. If you just want to street it with a Baja look, you may can get by with cheaper, but if you want Baja function, better spend the money now to do it right or you my find yourself spending it later just to get it going again.

Well i want function but not the 6 or 7 grand price tag lol... Any direction you could point me in would be great. I've built lifts for older trucks (70s and 80s) but i'm not to knowledgeable with these newer ones (i no that 02 isn't close to new)

Are you just looking for a simple, out of the box lift or something that has multiple shocks and stabilizers sticking out everywhere?

This will give you a functional lift and everything is in the box and it's not 6 grand.

I have their leveling kit and shocks on my truck and have been pleasantly surprised with the ride.

Talking Zone lift

I put a Zone 5" on my 02 and I love it. BDS makes it. I upgraded to Rancho 9000 shocks instead of the ones that came with it but I got it for $1175 and installed it with a buddy. Not hard, just time consuming. Took like 8 hrs but it comes with the reindex ring for the front driveshaft. just my .02 cents
