Default Winch mount question

Has anyone here mounted a winch in their bed? I never really see this or hear about it and I'm wondering if there is a reason? Would it be worth doing or no?

I don't see why you would. You would tear your bed to pieces running line along it. It just isn't practical when you can mount in the front or on the rear bumpers

I figured its a bad idea since nobody does it. I can't mount on my front bumper there's no room and there's really no opening big enough for the chord and hook and stuff to fit through lol- great description huh?

You can get a front hitch setup like some people have and then just get the winch and carrier. Or you can try and go the PW route but that requires some fabbing I believe. Hammer also has a front mount setup on his brush guard bumper
