Default OMG!!! Fasten seatbelt alarm!!!! #@%&*!!!

Hey guys, 04 dodge 2500 hemi 4x4 blah blah.....

Where the @*%* is the fasten seatbelt alarm? So I can tear it out or somehow get rid of it!!

Apparently it never worked in my truck for whatever reason. When I had a remote start put in it a few months ago suddenly its working. And as an added bonus sometimes (not very often) when I drive then stop and put the truck in park and take my seatbelt off with the truck running it starts going off.

Is this the typical little round plastic alarm type thing I can just put a piece of tape over and silence it forever or can I just rip it out and tape the wires?

I always wear my seatbelt so its "reminder" factor is a non issue. I love getting in my truck and seeing red within 10 seconds.

Well the only thing i would say would turn all of it off the truck will think the seatbelts in all the time but if you wanted that the under the seat their is a grey connector the leads to the seat belt unplug it and stick a wire nut down in the female connector that will connect the two prongs and put some tape over to hold the wire nut

The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and
buckle the driver’s seat belt.
2. Start the engine and wait for the Seat Belt Warning
Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle
and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three
times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt
buckled.
4. Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to
signify that you have successfully completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although the EnhancedWarning System (BeltAlert)
has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning Light
will continue to illuminate while the driver’s seat belt
remains unbuckled.

I hope this is what your talking about. I did this the day after I got my truck haha. Dont go cutting wires you can do it this way

Yep.....^^^^^ That's what I did a few minutes ago. I'll know if it worked when I drive it in a few minutes.

I have a superchips cortex. I have not seen any options like that.

What tuner do you have that will do that? Superchips and DSP don't. I can do it with my DRBIII if I am so inclined, but I haven't seen a regular tuner that offers that option.

I just did this in my truck after reading it, never knew that was a feature to turn off. I almost never don't have my seatbelt on, but when I don't it is a conscious choice (driving in a parking lot or whatever) and I hate that dang beep. Hooray for dodge forum.
