Default Going to the sand dunes this weekend for the first time

This saturday me and my buddy with his 2012 sierra on 35s are going to the silver lake sand dunes. Ive driven on sand quite a few times but never for a long distance, is there anything I need to know or look out for? I plan on airing down the tires to about 10psi and going from there. My new truetrac should come in handy and I got a farm jack incase I dig myself in too deep. Any tips are appreciated.

Its a cool place. I was there a week ago but did not drive my truck out there. We watch some trucks from the pedestrian section. Depending on how windy you probably want to check your air filter afterwards.

Im on my way home now (girlfriends driving). The truck did awesome and we had a blast. Im sure we'll be goin back. The truetrac in the rear end did its job and the tcm swap is gettin me great mileage on the highway. Didnt have a single problem and made it up all the hills, I really need more power tho.
