Re-did my grille
I hate it because it doesn't last. I don't want to have to peel it off and repaint and it does not withstand a power wash, I learned from experience. It does look good though ill give it that.
Saw the grille in your sig and had to track this down. I love how that turned out and think it would go well with my black. The chrome is a little too strong for me so I think that duplicolor is a good fit..
Thanks! I am very happy with it at this point, hopefully it holds up decently well to fading and what not. I did my wheels too, a little bit darker than the grille, like one more coat, I like how they came out too. I wish I could've found some info on the longevity of this stuff so I could make a full endorsement, but the initial results at least I am very pleased with how it came out.
plastidip is just a rubberized spray coating, it has a nice satin finish and is very easy to apply. People like it because it is reasonably durable, but also if you don't like the look of what you did, it peels of relatively easily.
The duplicolor that I used is their metalcast product which basically lets the chrome underneath shine through, giving a kind of anodized or black chrome effect. They also have it in blue, green, purple, etc, but I used the smoke color to give the black chrome effect.
thanks!
