2nd Gen Intercooler Compatability

ON a budget.

Does anyone know if a 1996 intercooler is the same as a 2002 intercooler? Got a line on an inexpensive intercooler from a 1996 to replace the crunched up one I have in my 2002. Have to order it online. It LOOKS like the same.
