I have a 2500 4x4 QCLB CTD with the usual Dodge rust, and the bodyshop quotes I've been getting to clean the truck up are crazy expensive.

I've found a number of 1500 gassers with nice looking bodies for pretty cheap, so my question is - can I swap body panels off a 1500 onto a 2500? I'm thinking all the panels - fenders, hood, doors, box, and then getting the cab painted to match.

Or- how taking the doors and box from a 2500 standard cab long-box? At least then I only have to get the cab and two doors painted.

 

Any of the body panels from 2002-2005 can be swapped, aside from the bed/fenders off a dually truck.

 

Single cab doors are different, but it doesn't matter if it's a 1500 or 2500, they swap as long as the cabs are the same.
